Parenting is a social process within families that involves nurturing, caring, educating, and socializing the children and parents. It’s a universal practice of families to prepare the children for their future and ensure their healthy development and protection. Parents normally teach hygiene skills, manners, exercise, work, entertainment, sleep, eating patterns, study skills, dating, marriage, parenting skills, etc. Successful parents consistently teach and mentor their children through leading by example, taking action, and providing positive role models. However, most of the parents face various challenges to nurture their children in this contemporary world. Their busy schedule in the economic activities in this competitive world shrink/ limit the time required for their children particularly in early ages. As a result the relationship vacuum increases amongst parents and children day by day. Machines has been taken most of the parental time and engage children with uncontrolled graphic views including social media. Tah Takuchi ECD team met with many parents and their children to analyze the gap and to propose any solutions to the parents and other stakeholders.
By considering the above challenges, Tah Takuchi ECD step in to engage parents with children through joint activity based sessions and also directly engage with children to lay the foundations of socialization along with other necessary developmental milestones. Education and connect the parents with their children through mobile phones and other means of communication. The relevant literature and education will also be uploaded at www.tahtakuchi.org for parents, siblings and children.
