Young children are the common basis for all dimensions of sustainable development. No advances in sustainable development will occur in coming decades without multiple generations contributing to societal improvement. Moreover, beyond sheer survival, children have a right to thrive, develop to their full potential, and live in a sustainable world. Around the world, governments, organizations, and communities are working to improve the life chances of young children, from universal prekindergarten programs, to the Integrated Child Development Services. Despite these efforts, it is currently estimated that 250 million children under the age of 5 worldwide are failing to meet their development potential.
A range of powerful risk factors lead to this incredible loss of human potential. Malnutrition, lack of stimulation and learning opportunities for mothers-children, and many other challenges result in high odds of early mortality, school failure, early pregnancy, economic pressure on mothers, and costly disease. The early care & development of children of working women are particularly suffered. Moreover, pregnant women don’t have easy or zero access to counseling and support for their cognitive, psychosocial and physical changes during this highly challenged time.
The ideas of Integrated Mother-Child Care & Development Services will not only cater the needs of working woman to ensure secure care & development of their children but also provide a platform for pregnant women to get support to accept, enjoy and tack care the cognitive, psychosocial and physical changes. They learn and comprehend easy steps to ensure the holistic development of fetus till age 3 years. Experts including psychologists, gynecologist, pediatrician, educationist will be engaged on different millstones of child development.
In twin cities of Pakistan, there are many working women who need Mother Child Care & Development Services. Most of these women are spending more money to provide only day care for their children under untrained caregivers with high risk.
